The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is that being gentle and kind with and to myself is the best gift that I can offer daily.

The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is self care is key.

From the moment I became pregnant I immediately begin to choose my children over myself. After a recent stay in the hospital I realized that I can’t care for my children the way I want to unless I am taking care of myself physically and emotionally. They need me and I need me. @newtexacali

The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is patience.

The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is to slow down and live in the moment.

From the time our babies are born we’re ready to snap back without resting, worrying about if they’re hitting the right milestones, asking ourselves should I eat a sandwich, take a shower or wash the dishes during nap time, did I kiss my husband today? when’s the last time I had a pedicure?!

As moms we wear many hats and it’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day scramble of life. But then you look up and your baby is no longer an infant. And while you were so ready to wean you later sit and miss those quiet moments of nursing your little one. Everyday is a day we won’t get back. So the dishes can wait, a day at the park doesn’t have to be documented on the gram, have your self-care time without any guilt and just be. @tricediva

The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is that I am the person chosen for these kids.

No matter how much I beat myself up or think I could be doing better, I was handpicked to be the one to raise them and that has strengthened me in times of doubt or insecurity. Blood or not, mother or not, if you are put in the position to help bring up or nurture someone - you are the one for the job, your unique life experience has positioned you for these kids. Stand in that & do the best you can! @aspoonfuloffaith

The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is to let go of some control and accept help.

I’ve always been a control freak and planner. Motherhood teaches you nothing ever goes as planned and you will lose control often. So to embrace and accept that and pair it with asking and receiving help has been a game changer. It truly does take a village. Every mama needs a break or they will literally break down. ❤️ @wifecomplex

The greatest lesson that motherhood has taught me is that our time here is precious.

To be mindful of everywhere I spend myself. Be it a job, where I rest, where I am with my daughter, with friends and whomever else. I value my time like currency. And to be honest, There aren’t really any pay days sweeter than smiles & kisses from my baby.
